Rebecca Field is a children’s book illustrator who lives in an old purple house in Richmond, Virginia. Rebecca’s illustration work is filled with light, brilliant color, and lots of messy texture that she makes using all kinds of paper; monoprints, handmade paper, watercolor, and collage material. She loves to create art that celebrates Jewish joy, the natural world, and the wonder of everyday life. She is a public high school art educator, lucky enough to spend every day with teenagers who make her laugh and think deep thoughts. She has 1 husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and 1 chipmunk who lives under her porch.
