Emily Dickson, Agent Assistant

Emily (she/they) was once the eight-year-old reading the acknowledgment pages of her favorite books. Now, she is an MA/MFA candidate in Children’s Literature/Writing for Children & Young Adults at Simmons University and assistant to agent Natalie Lakosil. She has held several internships in publishing, including with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and TriadaUS Literary Agency. Emily is particularly passionate about queer and disabled voices across genres in the children’s, middle grade, and young adult spaces. They love graphic novels and other stories that play with format, such as hybrid novels and novels in verse. Like Peter Pan, they have a strong emotional attachment to their shadow, a fluffy black service dog called Luna Lovegood.
